Setup – Wireline Gateway

Setup general tab
  • To access the page, along the top navigation go to Setup.

  • The left navigation bar will show options for General, Controller, Wireline Gateway, Control Station, and API.

The Setup page is used to configure connections with your Fleet Manager.

Wireline gateway configuration
  • Enable Wireline Interface – Check this box to enable the Wireline interface. This must be checked to enable any of the settings on this page.

Wireline Gateway IP – The IP address of your wireline gateway. This is the system running MNIS.

  • Enable Capacity MAX Interface – If using Capacity MAX check both Enable Wireline Interface and Enable Capacity MAX Interface.

Wireline PN IP – Specify the IP Address for the CMSS (Capacity Max System Server).

  • PN Port – The port assignment for ARS messages. Default: 4005(TCP). You must configure this setting to match the port that is configured for DDMS for Legacy systems or the port CMSS is listening on for Capacity MAX.

TMS Port – The port assignment for Text Message Service messages. You must configure this setting to match the port MNIS is listening on. Default: 4007(UDP).

LBS Port – The port assignment for Location Based Service Messages (LRRP). You must configure this setting to match the port MNIS is listening on. Default: 4001(UDP).

Note that when configuring ports, care must be taken not to have conflicting ports. If running a Capacity Max and Connect Plus system in parallel, separate ports must be used for each.

  • Low Range & High Range (Watcher Range) – The range of unit ID’s for which you would be collecting data (GPS & Text messages). If using a MultiGate leave the default maximum range. (1-16776351).

Low – The lowest radio ID number the server will listen for.

High – The highest radio ID number the server will listen for.

  • Save to activate any changes made.

The Wireline Gateway tab covers settings concerning MNIS and Capacity MAX radio systems.

The FleetManager service should be restarted after making these changes. This can be done on the Status page.
